Alton Coleman and Debra Brown constituted a lesser known but extremely deadly and wanton killer couple. This documentary about their short but shocking reign of terror includes contributions from one of the police officers and several of the lawyers who worked on the case.

It begins with the May 1984 abduction and murder of a young girl by Coleman for no apparent reason. Coleman was the dominant personality in this relationship; Brown was borderline retarded in a strictly academic sense although she was probably not lacking in street smarts or cunning, and if she was not his equal at the start, she soon became it. Coleman was a serial rapist who had escaped conviction for all but one of his crimes; he was described herein as pans-sexual, which is precisely what it sounds like. The crimes they committed together were motivated by money, necessity (ie stealing cars to get away) and most of all by sheer wantonness and sadism. Their victims ranged from the young to the elderly. They were arrested after a 53 day reign of terror.

After a series of trials, both were sentenced to death; Coleman received a total of 4 death sentences becoming the first person ever to be sentenced to death in 3 different states. Brown's death sentence was commuted in Ohio although she still faces the death penalty in Indiana, but Coleman was executed April 26, 2002 by lethal injection.

This documentary includes both archive footage and reconstructions, though nothing too gory.
