"GravyTrain" is a phenomenal shot of nostalgia as a throw back to 1970's crime drama's with a twist of comedy.
First things first this is a beautiful looking film, Daniel Grant has taken Indie cinematography to a new level and deserves much recognition and respect as his cinematography is incredible.
The comedy is fantastic as it ranges from one-liners to physical/slapstick that does not disappoint. Great, clever writing and superb acting from the cast makes it impossible to take your eyes away from the screen as you are drawn in to the outrageous story of Charles Gravytrain (Tim Doiron) and Miss Uma Booma (April Mullen) on their adventure to find the notorious Jimmy Fish Eye's.
I also must note the film's amazing costume design. The outfits on every character suits them perfectly but I must say April Mullen's one piece outfits stand out the most and are extremely original.
Over-all this is a comedic gem that sucks you in with it's fresh, intriguing writing, great acting, beautiful cinematography, original costume design and sleek "James Bond" style names that will leave you at the edge of your seat, as well as on the floor laughing. Gorgeous film.
