Ramarajyadalli Rakshasaru: A Vigilante Film that falls short
Vashista-Bhat23 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
"Ramarajyadalli Rakshasaru" is one of the Worst films that was released in 1990. The film's plot revolves around Surya, a newspaper editor who exposes the scam of a corrupt contracter who later gets arrested by Surya's brother, Chandra. The corrupt contracter seeks revenge against them.

The performances of Shankar Nag and Ananth Nag are good. Doddanna is fine as an antagonist. In terms of acting, everyone in this Film are OK. But this film focuses more on Chandra (Shankar Nag), leaving Surya (Ananth Nag) with limited character development. Hence he is not able to offer anything in the context of this Film.

The Director D. Rajendra Babu's handling of the narrative is not up to the mark. The Screenplay attempts to show the corruption within our system, which becomes quite routine and somewhat preachy. The Script follows a formulaic path, which allows the audience to easily guess the next sequence. The brisk narration pace may keep some audience engaged, but it has done little to elevate the overall storytelling.

The music, composed by M. Ranga Rao is one of the film's brighter aspects. The songs add some value to the Film. The cinematography is good enough to capture the essence of the narrative. Overall, "Ramarajyadalli Rakshasaru" is a one time watch for those who love watching vigilante films. Others can skip it.

My Rating: 4/10 Verdict: Below Average.
