Suspend Belief and you may enjoy this

The synopsis is that Michael's lover of fourteen years has died from brain cancer, but before he died he decided he was going to look after Michael and one of their friends until they were happy. He now becomes 'Chad Angel' and talks to them to give them life advice etc.

They also have a predilection for leather sites on the old web, but not the hard core sort as it turns out. Through this Michael meets Damien and well you can join the dots.

This seems to be selling itself as a fetish romp but is far removed from any such antics. There are some nudity shots but nothing to worry the Vicar. It is supposed to be funny too but is done so in an over the top cutesy way, that is just stereotyping without the charm. It is passable but I could not sit through it again. For an indie effort it has done above average but still not one anyone is going to rave about – unless they were in it. I think my rating is probably generous too but as I said it is just above average for a gay independent film.

very disappointing , give it a miss

Warning: Spoilers
This must be one of the most boring movies I've ever seen.Totally unfunny, unmoving and uninteresting, even to it's intended gay audience. Thank goodness the director had the sense to give it only a 70 minute running time, as the story could have been told as a short film.Even as a time filler, this one misses the boat. Surely , with all the great stories written, they could have come up with something more original with this theme, which has been done to death. As regards the gay aspect of the movie, the three male lead actors are completely uninteresting and the lesbian characters seem to have been thrown into the story for good measure.I was desperately trying to see something funny in this so-called comedy, but found myself being irritated instead. A definite no no.

I laughed, I cried, I was inspired

Beatific Vision surprised me, in a good way. While the movie genre is a gay spiritual, I found the movie's message to be wholly universal. Sountru's story is delivered by great characters who become more endearing as the film goes on. They had me laughing, crying, and ultimately inspired. We all have angels who try to guide our decisions in life; this movie reminds us to listen. It affords us a unique opportunity to see how an angel might influence our choices. Beatific Vision has plenty of content to keep the gay viewer happy, and a message to benefit all mankind. I whole-heartily recommend this film. Writer/director Sountru takes us on an emotional journey and leaves us uplifted, wondering about the angels in our own lives.
