Dick Grant pays a visit to the Reverend Dr. Keeler. Dick tells him that he doesn't want to divorce his wife, even though he's not entirely sure Kathy loves him. Nevertheless, he very much wants to remain married to Kathy. Dick asks Dr. Keeler to pay Kathy a visit at the hospital. Dr. Keeler knows more about Kathy's feelings, and about Kathy's unborn child, than he is able to tell Dick. But he agrees to visit Kathy. Meanwhile, Timmy, his pockets bulging with toy soldiers, pays Kathy a visit. At one point, Timmy confesses that not having a father is terrible on him. Timmy's remark fills Kathy with anxiety.
