Good Retro-Alien Comedy
15 September 2009 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

A spoof on early alien/spaceship sci-fi. Unfortunately, the intentionally retro creature FX and visuals seem to have turned some people off.

Nonetheless, it has a good story and if you can handle the intellectual challenge of comedy mixed with science fiction, you should enjoy it. If your part of the 50s generation, you may end up taking it too personally. If you're young and used to 3D game FX, it may go completely over your head for the lack visual realism you take for granted.

If there's a defect, it's that it's a little slow getting started and there are some leaps in the story line that don't fit into the retro-space-alien plot. But the intelligent space-alien-mocking and acting make up for it enough to be worth watching.
