A middle-aged Chinese man travels to the United States for the first time to pay a long-awaited visit to his son. Upon arrival, his journey goes suddenly and terribly off course. Soon the man finds himself lost and alone in a country he doesn't understand, and where no one seems willing to understand him. "No Wind, No Waves" paints an unsettling portrait of contemporary America and of a world whose people seem to be growing ever further apart.
