Quotes

Akbar 'Akki' Ahmad: I am thinking about screenplays. In a completed screenplay, we know what would happen next and when. It may be birth or death, victory or defeat. But in the screenplay of real life, the poor actors and actresses who have to act without knowing even their role, perplexed without knowing who the director is...

Truly incredible film
15 July 2009 | by (here) – See all my reviews

it is about 4:30 am and i just got finished watching this film. It gripped on to me and I could not stop watching although I am sick and have an exam coming... I have never been so moved by anything. Rarely has a movie made me cry.

My exposure to south Indian films has been almost exclusively action and I must say this film blows out of the water in ways anything I have seen in Hindi cinema or even English for that... it is not the most fast paced film, but the songs are beautiful, the characters are heartfelt, and the ending is purely poetic.

From the perspective of somebody not familiar with Malayalam film industry... this film is very believable... as I was wondering through the film was this a true story, were these real people being referenced. There is nothing unbelievable about this film. The actors are all superb and do an incredible job and have an uncanny connection to the characters they play. I am actually glad I am new to Malayalam movies because it made the movie really wonderful thinking possibly this was all true story

You will be hard pressed to find another film as touching as this one. Especially if you are in love. And then again... maybe you have to love somebody to truly grasp this film... I am not sure
