Good competitor of the main two Tokusatsu powerhouses

And with that I mean, of course, Toei and Tsuburaya. Don't believe other older reviewers, this series is not particularly boring (except a bit at the start, but aren't there tokus that don't start in a shaky way and end being of very good/exceptional quality? Kamen Rider Black I'm lookin at you) and it's very fun and engaging in general, in particular from episode 15 on it's a blast. The influences on this series are clear-as-day, meaning the 60's Ultraman (understandably, considering the work of its main writer with the Ultraman franchise) and the 70's mechas (in particular the Robot Romance trilogy) and, interesting enough, the female member of the ISS seems a bit more active in this series than in both those instances, which is a nice touch. Hence, if you're a fan of those you can have double the fun. All in all, it's recommended, especially if you want to branch out a little from the Toku stuff of both Toei and Tsuburaya, stuff with which I don't have any problems with in the slightest but hey, competition serves something. Now, if somebody would please fansub the P-Productions series too...

A true robotic tokusatsu gem!

Gret tokusatsu masterpiece series from the golden years of the genre: Ultraman meets Super Robots! (In perfect Mazinger Z style!) Great cast, fantastic adventures, funny old school & low budget special effects, and a tasty cherry on the pie: Inspector Ippei Kumano, played by Isao Tamagawa, the best comedian hero ever! Sure, to really appreciate this show you need to be an enthusiast, with a realistic "archeological" point of view about this kind of old japanese live series. Otherwise, is better to search somewhere else.

Very boring show, not very interesting (unless you are a giant robot nut)

Super Robot Red Baron was a show I did not consider watching because I am not the kind of person who really enjoys giant robots, but after getting it for my birthday, I watched a few episodes and I felt a little iffy about it. Basically, there was a robot festival where there was a bunch of robots there, and the Iron Alliance, lead by Dr Deviler, took them all except one. That one was Red Baron. My opinion on Red Baron is that he looks more like a villain than a hero. He also looks boring and the villains are way more interesting than him. Take Goryu for example. He has a whip on his head and is powered by artificial rain. Red Baron, however, looks very generic and is very nondescript. Just look at him! He has no mouth and has very Giant Robo-like jointed arms. The only really good thing about this show is the Bicycle Inspector, who is the comic relief in the show, and the theme song, man is it epic. (if you want to hear it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPtrS9vTo4Q) The actual show, however, is very boring. I do not recommend this show to anyone unless you are a giant robot show enthusiast and willing to spend your precious time on this show.
