After delivering blockbusters such as Thuppaki and Kaththi, filmmaker A.R Murugadoss and actor Vijay are teaming up for the third time for Vijay 62 and the project is likely to roll from October this year, reliable sources have confirmed. On Sunday, reports have surfaced that Sun Pictures, best known for producing Rajinikanth’s Enthiran, will bankroll the project on a lavish budget. Shooting for Shankar’s Enthiran 2 or 2.0 is done and as per sources, superstar Rajinikanth has started dubbing for his portions at Prasad Labs, Chennai.


This magnum opus of Shankar is being bankrolled by Lyca Productions that features Akshay Kumar, Adil Hussain, Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey and others. Nirav Shah is handling the cinematography of this 3 D venture for which Ar Rahman is scoring the music.

There was never any doubt in the minds of hit-machine, filmmaker Rohit Shetty and Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgnthat they would arrive with their laugh-a-riot Golmaal Again on the Diwali 2017.

It so happens that Golmaal, now in its fourth part is one of Bollywood most successful franchises and has a huge demand with audience across segments, especially children. The fantastic stunt choreographer who amazed us with his work in Enthiran, 7 am Arivu, Magadheera and Bahubali bagged the national award for best stunt choreography in the year 2016. Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal was super excited about Peter Hein winning the award for the movie Pulimurugan.

While addressing the media after winning the Special Jury mention, the Superstar said that he is extremely happy, perhaps happier than Peter Hein himself for this award. Mohanlal said that Peter had won many awards in other languages, but it feels great that he got recognized for his work in a Malayalam film.

Rajinikanth's next, 2.0, the sequel to Enthiran, directed by Shankar has been promised for a Diwali release. The film stars Amy Jackson and Akshay Kumar in crucial roles and Ar Rahman is in charge of the music department. 

The latest update from the camp is that the film's dubbing has been completed and the team is progressing with the post production at a brisk pace. The team is left with a song and a bit of patchwork to shoot for.

Photojournalists attacked on Rajinikanth's 2.0 sets

Two photojournalists of a leading daily were manhandled on the sets of Rajinikanth's upcoming sci-fi action thriller '2.0' on Wednesday in Triplicane who tried to click pictures as the team was shooting beyond the permissible time. A police complaint was made but was later withdrawn. The incident so far… Ragunathan, one of the photographers to be pushed by the bouncers at the insistence of the film's assistance director, narrated the incident. "They were not following rules. You can't shoot in public place after 6 a.m. It was 8 a.m. and they were still shooting. By not following rules, they were causing lot of problems for the public. I clicked photos to make them realize it. The bouncers quickly surrounded me. Even before I could ask them to move, I was assaulted." Ragunathan said they have filed a police complaint against the film's assistant director and some members of the crew. »

We are informed that the satellite rights of Superstar Rajinikanth’s multi-crore film 2.0 (Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi) have been reportedly sold for a humongous 110 crores to Zee Television.
