Hugely bleak, but very watchable.

The team are called in to investigate after a suspected terrorist raid resulted in several victims, one being armed response unit officer Nathan Wright. Initial investigations show no evidence of the victims being involved in terrorism, Nikki questions why they were shot and begins investigating herself. Nathan's colleague Rhys Allen had been having an affair with his wife and is grilled by Edwin Stickley from the complaints department. DI Tranfield is desperate for a conviction, he grilled young Isra, who's brother lay in hospital after the raid. Evidence points to Nathan having been shot by a fellow officer. Nikki is attacked at gunpoint and her evidence taken.

Possibly guilty of being overly graphic, quite a few episodes at the time were. It's a very interesting story, it develops quite well, it focuses more on Nathan Wright's shooting as it progresses, it's almost side stepped at the beginning.

One of the only gripes I have is that it's incredibly bleak and grim, it would have benefited from a little humour now and then, it's serious matter, just a bit heavy.

I'm not the biggest fan of Shaun Dooley, but I find him rather good in this, it's one of his better outings. Ciarán McMenamin, Gary Lewis and Michael Higgs are all very strong.

How on Earth did Nikki's voyeuristic Taxi not crash that car?

Best bit, the ending. 7/10

So many of these episodes revolve around corruption in the police department. In this one a full scale assault on suspected terrorists results in death and serious injury. Also, there is a bit of a soap opera element as a disliked officer is slain an it turns out a colleague has been sleeping with his wife. But what needs to be dealt with is the overzealous use of force. Oh, and good old Nikki and the group do another stupid, preventable thing.
