When Are The Kids’ Choice Awards? — Time To Get Slimed, Kiddos

The Nickelodeon KCAs: what time are they on, when can I watch them, and what the fudge is that green slime made out of?

As much as we all love to revel in the glory that is J-to-the-Bieber, there is not a one among us that didn’t love watching that little punk, and all his celebrity compadres, get slimed at last year’s Kids’ Choice Awards (even Taylor Swift loved watching Justin Bieber get slimed). So, naturally, we’re simply beside ourselves with glee over the fact that it’s almost time for the slimy awards show, once more. After all, celebrities are richer than most of us can ever hope to be, and that, alone, means they deserve to get slimed, right? Riiiiiiiiight? I mean, where in Sam Hill is that tax return check, anyway?!?

Seriously, When Are The Kids’ Choice Awards?

Ok, Ok, no more financial mumbo-jumbo,

Deluxe Unit Buys Oz Post Biz From ‘Happy Feet Two’ Co-Producer OmniLab Media

Don Groves is a Deadline contributor based in Sydney. Late last year, OmniLab Media and George Miller and Doug Mitchell’s Kennedy Miller Mitchell disbanded their digital production joint venture Dr D Studios after making Happy Feet Two. Now, OmniLab Media is selling its visual effects and post-production businesses to Deluxe Australia, a subsidiary of Deluxe Entertainment Services Group. OmniLab will continue to produce films and TV series, notably holding onto production divisions Ambience Entertainment (Killer Elite, Tomorrow, When The War Began) and New Zealand-based Oktobor Animation (which supplied visual effects to the TV series The Penguins of Madagascar, Fanboy and Chum Chum and Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness). Margins are tight in the local post business, amid a prolonged downturn in Australian film production and international films that location in Oz. An industry exec opines that OmniLab’s owners Graham Mapp and his son Christopher may have felt

Jamie Kennedy Joins The CW's Game Show Oh Sit!

Jamie Kennedy Joins The CW's Game Show Oh Sit!

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that The CW's upcoming extreme musical chairs game show, titled Oh Sit! (no, really), has gained a third voice to help sort out the madness. Joining Tanika Ray (Extra) and Jessi Cruikshank (Virtuality) is Jamie Kennedy, actor and former WB prankster extraordinaire. Kennedy will serve as a commentator on the action with Cruikshank, while Ray will act as a sideline reporter of sorts.

Kennedy, perhaps best known for writing and starring in Malibu's Most Wanted, is no stranger to the "fifth network", having had The Jamie Kennedy Experiment run on The WB for three seasons. He's currently providing voice work for Fox's The Cleveland Show and Nickelodeon's Fanboy and Chum Chum, with two films in post-production.

Even though something like Oh Sit! sounds ridiculous, it could be a great move for The CW. They'll be implementing more year-round programming,

Jennifer Yuh Nelson's "Kung Fu Panda 2" dominated the Annie Awards nominations, but the International Animated Film Society decided to give its highest honor -- the Best Animated Feature award -- to Gore Verbinski's "Rango." Besides the Best Animated trophy, "Rango" also collected awards for Best Editing and Writing. But Nelson, the first woman to direct a feature film animation from a major Hollywood production company, won the Directing in a Feature Production award! Yay! (Check out my interview with Jennifer Yuh Nelson for "Kung Fu Panda 2" right here)
