Storyline

In Glenview, Ohio, Evan is the manager of the Costco department store and married to Abby. When the Costco night watchman, Antonio Guzman, is mysteriously murdered, Evan organizes The Neighborhood Watch, a watch team with his suburban neighbors Bob, Franklin and Jamarcus to protect the neighborhood and find the killer of Antonio. Soon they discover that the murderer is an alien that is preparing to invade Earth, and they become the last hope of mankind on Earth.

The Slash

Five adults make a group to fight against possible Aliens that have been murdering people from their town. At this point, the plot sounded very original-- in fact, story is original anyways. Being a comedy movie, I expected it to have more jokes in less time. But no, we have too few jokes for a 102 minutes of running. Good thing is that the few jokes work, especially those made by Vince Vaughn's character. Male audience is more likely to enjoy the jokes, since most of them involve male's thoughts about sex and masturbation. Sadly, the whole story is pretty vague and there's no big excitement or climax to be reached, which eventually makes this film pointless. Hollywood has surely already made much better comedies than this.
