Among various connections, Russell has played music with Alan Doyle, lead singer for the Canadian folk rock band Great Big Sea (the group performs the show's theme sign, "Oh Yeah"). Both Alan Doyle and the actor who plays Jake Doyle are from St. John's (and they also have the same first name). See more »

Not good
9 February 2015 | by (Netherlands) – See all my reviews

I really wanted to like this series so I tried watching it again and again and again and again. And again, but it just is not good enough.

I do not like the actor who plays the lead, his face has no expressions. The acting is not good in general.

The stories are messy. This may be caused by the very bad editing, incomplete shots and very bad stunts.

Furthermore this series is supposed to be funny, well I never laughed.

Not in series 1. Not in 2 nor in 3.

What's good about this is is the scenery,.

I will not watch this again. Ever.
