PSYCHO SLEEPOVER is another cheap indie put out by Troma. The whole thing has a campy, derivative feel which I didn't get on too well with. A sleepover is gatecrashed by a gang of murderous serial killers but the girls have a plan to fight back. This is mainly shot in a small house with a bit of blood here and there but little other incident. It's ultra-cheesy and very silly indeed.

Awesome title. I love Troma and indie films in general (proper indie films, I mean, not rebranded big studio, Oscar-hunting rubbish) and Psycho Sleepover's one of the best. These guys also made Yeti: A Love Story, which kicks similar amounts of ass. PS has some really cheap, shoddy gore effects, but that just kinda makes it funnier. It's well lit with good sound and all the actors are enthusiastic and funny, even if some of them aren't Daniel Day Lewis. Seriously brilliant film. If you're not into the high-budget/low-imagination Hollywood horror-comedies (Scream 4, you suck) but still want some killing and maiming between jokes, then totally check out Psycho Sleepover.

Very subtle start. At first i was confused. Did we accidentally rent a porn? The sound quality.... the recording quality..... is this a porn? Then Bam! You get thrown into the world of almost no budget film making. Right off I knew this was going to be a masterpiece of hilariously bad costuming, whimsical lines, and low quality sound. It even had a guy playing the part of one of the girls, which he played oh so well. The creativity goes right to the core of this movie, right down to the actors. They obviously had incredible amounts of fun making this film. The movie is even complete with a twist ending and a nice set of boobs. This sets the standard for which all films be made. The only issue is that finding a DVD will prove difficult.
