New on Netflix Streaming: March 2015

What will March bring to Netflix? Plenty of great TV shows, some killer recent and classic movies, and a slew of highly anticipated Netflix Originals.

First off, there's more amazing TV coming to Netflix in March than we've seen in the past six, with new seasons of "Mad Men," "Glee," and "Archer" coming to the streaming service. What's more? The complete series of "3rd Rock From the Sun" (Yes!) and "A Different World" are also being added. For the latter, I plan on queueing up some "very special episodes" that remind me of my childhood. Also, Marisa Tomei was on it. Remember?! In addition to the shows you know, some spankin' new Netflix Originals are being added: Tina Fey's half-hour comedy "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt," starring "The Office's" Ellie Kemper, and "Bloodline," a dramatic thriller starring Oscar-winner Sissy Spacek.

In terms of movies, Netflix is not disappointing. Recent releases

Adam Shankman to Direct Peter Dinklage in 'O Lucky Day'

Adam Shankman to Direct Peter Dinklage in 'O Lucky Day'
Filmmaker Adam Shankman has signed on to direct Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage in the Paramount Pictures comedy O'Lucky Day. We first reported on the project back in October 2013 when Peter Dinklage signed on, but this is the first we're hearing of the new title. The actor is set to play a con man who may or may not be an actual leprechaun, although he successfully passes off as one.

Andrew Dodge, who wrote last year's R-rated comedy Bad Words starring Jason Bateman, wrote the original draft of the script, with Damian Shannon and Mark Swift (Friday the 13th, Freddy vs. Jason) providing the most recent rewrite. Production is scheduled to start this April, after Peter Dinklage wraps up work on Season 5 of Game of Thrones.

Mary Parent and Cale Boyter are producing through their Disuption Entertainment company, along with Peter Dinklage. Best known for his Emmy-winning role as

Peter Dinklage Joins Melissa McCarthy in 'Michelle Darnell'

Peter Dinklage Joins Melissa McCarthy in 'Michelle Darnell'
Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage has signed on to join Melissa McCarthy in the upcoming Universal Pictures comedy Michelle Darnell. We first reported on this project back in January, when Universal set an April 8, 2016 release date. Melissa McCarthy will play the title character, described as "a titan of industry" who is arrested and sent to prison for insider trading. After her stint behind bars, she emerges ready to rebrand herself as "America's sweetheart," only to find that several people she screwed over aren't quite ready to let her off the hook.

No specific details were given for Peter Dinklage's character, but Variety reports he will play the main antagonist. Universal was trying to decide if a male or female actor would be the right fit for this role, since the studio was more interested in finding the right actor or actress who could "chew up every scene he or she is in.

DVD Review: 'The Angriest Man in Brooklyn'

  • CineVue
★★☆☆☆In the wake of Academy Award-winning American actor Robin Williams' tragic and untimely death last month, it was arguably the work outside of his zany and larger-than-life persona that fans responded to most whilst playing tribute to the man. Like those films, Phil Alden Robinson's adaptation of little-known Israeli film The 92 Minutes of Mr. Baum (1997), now entitled The Angriest Man in Brooklyn (2014) sees the late comedian once again playing against type, this time as the embittered character of the title. However, for all of Williams' best efforts, it's a film which is sadly destined to sit with those below-par efforts which have become increasing conspicuous towards the latter part of his career.

"Angriest Man In Brooklyn" Has Plenty To Be Angry About

This might hurt some in the five boroughs to hear, but it’s possible that New York might be a little over-represented in modern film. It has it’s place, to be sure, but a quick survey of independent films produced in the last decade suggests an industry hell-bent on propagating an image of the Big Apple as the geographic embodiment of your friend who talks tough but has a ‘heart of gold’ (whatever that means). All too often, that image rings false, as it does here in The Angriest Man in Brooklyn, an ignominious swan song for Robin Williams. It does its best to have its political incorrectness and eat it too, but even people who’ve never visited will recognize its New York as a place that has never, ever existed.

The Angriest Man In Brooklyn DVD Review

Director: Phil Alden Robinson

Starring: Robin Williams, Mila Kunis, Peter Dinklage, Melissa Leo

Running Time: 83 minutes

Certificate: 15

There’s no denying The Angriest Man In Brooklyn has come at a poignant time after the recent death of Robin Williams. The themes of sadness, anger, family and loss are dispersed through Phil Alden Robinson’s film and trying to disassociate them from reality has an undoubted effect on watching and considering the movie.

Based on the film The 92 Minutes of Mr. Baum by Assi Dayan, this adaptation sees Henry Altmann (Williams) as an excessively angry Brooklynite who goes to see his Doctor for the results of a brain scan. When over-worked Doctor Sharon Gill (Mila Kunis) is assigned to give him the update, he’s already been waiting for a while and his build-up of tension turns into rage upon discovering he has a brain aneurism. Pushed aggressively for more facts,

Mila Kunis Called Robin Williams a Person Who Left a Lasting Impact on Her Life: "Remember This Time," He Once Told Her

Mila Kunis Called Robin Williams a Person Who Left a Lasting Impact on Her Life:
It's amazing what you can find when you go through the archives. Mila Kunis was among the lucky ones who got to work with Robin Williams over the course of his storied, Oscar-winning career and, in previously unpublished remarks from an interview she gave during that time, she was already calling him a person who had made a lasting impression on her life with just a few words. Talking to Esquire in 2012, when she was shooting The Angriest Man in Brooklyn with Williams, Kunis recounted a story about meeting him when he was filming a scene on the same lot as That '70s Show one day—and she never forgot what he told her. "And so many times you meet people they don't...

Melissa Leo: Robin Williams was ‘a magical man’
Oscar-winning actress pays tribute to the late Robin Williams, with whom she co-starred in one of the comedian and actor’s final films.

Melissa Leo, who won an Oscar for her role in The Fighter, has spoken about Robin Williams calling the late comedian and actor “a very, very special human being and a very, very fine and hardworking actor.”

Leo starred in one of Williams’ final films, The Angriest Man in Brooklyn.

Speaking to ScreenDaily at the Sarajevo Film Festival, where she is on the competition jury, Leo said: “He’s a magical man… It’s a great loss for all of us.”

The actress also recalled their connection over TV series Homicide: Life on the Street, in which Leo starred in nearly 80 episodes and Williams once guest starred in 1994.

“As we were working, I must’ve mentioned to Robin that I was going to work with Jake Gyllenhaal [on Prisoners] and Robin remembered that Jake was his

Mila Kunis stepped out in Los Angeles yesterday in a formfitting black tank that showed off her adorable baby bump. The actress has become a regular at prenatal yoga classes, even attending one on her 31st birthday last week. She recently spoke out about the late Robin Williams, whom she recently worked with on The Angriest Man in Brooklyn, saying that he reminded her to step back and enjoy the special moments she has experienced. It appears that the actress may be taking his advice - it seems like she's been having fun during her pregnancy while spending plenty of time with her fiancé, Ashton Kutcher. First clip from the late Robin Williams' upcoming Merry Friggin' Christmas

  • JoBlo
It is a sad fact that Robin Williams' last few years worth of work has been relegated to On Demand or straight to cable. Films like The Angriest Man In Brooklyn and World's Greatest Dad did not get the exposure the acclaimed Oscar winner had received in years past. Most of his big screen work was in supporting roles like Night At The Museum. With four films completed before his death, Williams will be seen again but how widely is unknown. The first of the four films to see release will be...
