Storyline
Robert and John Gregory were left orphans. Robert, a wealthy soul, found his health failing and the doctor advised him to seek the lower levels. John, drunk most of the time, agreed to accompany him. The senor, Estabon, lived with his pretty wife and sister in the little cabin in the valley. Alone in the woods he found Robert and John, Robert prone upon the ground from exhaustion and John, quite drunk, beside him. The Spaniard took them home and in the days that followed Robert's health returned, and he grew to love the Spanish girl. John, on the other hand, made violent love to the wife of the senor and when she repulsed him, threatened to kill her. Behind the barn Robert came upon them, she struggling to free herself from John's embrace. All ties of blood were swept away in Robert's fury and he struck his brother to the ground. Slinking away, John discovered an aged mendicant who agreed to kill his brother and the senor in consideration of certain money. They went toward the little ... Written by
