Suicide Squad 2 Cast Reunite for First Training Session
It looks the gang is getting back in shape and prepped for Suicide Squad 2. The sequel is shooting later this year, with the shoot expected to commence in October. But the actors in the movie need to spend some time getting in shape and Joel Kinnaman, along with some of his fellow Suicide Squad cast members are already getting back to work, as the actor revealed in a recent social media post.

Joel Kinnaman took to Instagram to reveal that he has been working out and training with fellow stars Jai Courtney and Jay Hernandez. They have a personal trainer on hand and are trying to get themselves looking ripped enough to pull off looking like actual comic book characters, not to mention the physical demands of filming a movie like Suicide Squad 2. According to the post, they worked so hard that Hernandez actually puked.

"Brendan whipping us back into shape.

Chinese Blockbuster ‘Wolf Warrior 2’ Impacts Careers, Especially Star Celina Jade

Chinese Blockbuster ‘Wolf Warrior 2’ Impacts Careers, Especially Star Celina Jade
Record-breaking Chinese action film “Wolf Warrior 2” has changed the course of many company and individual careers — none more so than of its female lead Celina Jade, who turns out to be the film’s biggest champion.

While director Wu Jing’s 2015 “Wolf Warrior” was a big hit, making 545 million yuan ($82.4 million), little was expected of the sequel that was released in July 2017. The war/action film genre has been over-exploited in China, and the retread had little word of mouth.

While “WW2” benefited from a release date at the beginning of the summer blackout period in which only Chinese-language pictures can get a wide release, it was going head to head against Andrew Lau’s “The Founding of an Army.” “Army” is the third in a series of big-budget, new era Chinese propaganda movies that employ dozens of stars and get the full backing of the government machine.

Yet “WW2” was a phenomenon from the moment

Margot Robbie Is Planning Her Own Separate Harley Quinn Movie

Given the relatively lackluster reception, both critically and commercially to Justice League so far, the future of the Dceu is very uncertain. But one thing is for sure: It's going to involve Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn one way or another. It's just been revealed that, in addition to the already revealed spin-offs, the actress is also working on a solo Harley Quinn movie. Here's what she had to say about it.

"I've been working on it for two years now. It's hard to kind of talk about it because all this stuff is under lock and key, but no I've been working on a separate spinoff Harley thing for a while now... [Not Sirens], it's a totally separate one. Yeah, there's a lot going on right now and I honestly don't think anyone knows what's gonna be the next thing to happen, but I think everyone's keen to get Harley back

Suicide Squad Director Wishes Joker Was the Main Villain

Suicide Squad Director Wishes Joker Was the Main Villain
More than a year later and people still can't get over what could have been with Suicide Squad. Not even director David Ayer. While he's moved on to other projects and, in all likelihood, won't be making another DC movie again (at least not in the near future), he's still willing to talk to fans about Suicide Squad and get candid about its shortcomings. Like not making The Joker the main villain of the movie.

Recently, a fan shared an image of a toy that features Jared Jeto's Joker in a Batsuit on Twitter. According to Ayer, the toy was inspired by a pickup shot that was never used in a cut of the movie. In the reply to the tweet, a fan made it clear that The Joker should have been the main villain in Suicide Squad and, as it turns out, David Ayer agrees to the point that he agonizes over it.

Nick Nolte Reflects on What Acting’s Meant for Him Ahead of Walk of Fame Honor

Nick Nolte Reflects on What Acting’s Meant for Him Ahead of Walk of Fame Honor
Nick Nolte lives in a treehouse in Malibu. It’s an actual house. In a tree. A tree runs through the bedroom. He built it on the property he owns, a rustic 2.5-acre lot on which there are several small houses and an organic fruit and vegetable garden and dogs and cats running around. And every morning the first thing Nolte does when he wakes up is reach out and put his hand on the tree. And he feels the tree’s pulse. And he says to himself, “This is so cool. It’s alive.”

Nolte, who is receiving a star Nov. 20 on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, bought the property, within faint earshot of the Pacific Ocean, about 40 years ago, 10 years after he moved to L.A. to become a star. The semi-remote location (Kevin Dillon is a neighbor) is something that Nolte relishes; the fresh smell of dirt and grass, the cool shade

Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam Will Reportedly Show Up in Suicide Squad 2

According to The Wrap, Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam will make his big screen debut in Suicide Squad 2. That's not the movie that I would have expected him to show up in, but that news comes from two inside sources. The report says:

The insiders told TheWrap that the current plan for the sequel is for the members of Suicide Squad to be tasked with tracking down a weapon of mass destruction. That weapon? Black Adam himself. The villain is best known in DC Comics as the main nemesis of superhero Shazam.

That would certainly make for a fun and interesting story for the Suicide Squad! We know that Black Adam was not going to be a part of the Shazam! movie, but Johnson previously teased that there was going to be a big Black Adam surprise. He told Fandango:

“We have a really cool surprise for Black Adam that I can’t reveal,

The Rock's Black Adam to Be Introduced in Suicide Squad 2?

Warner Bros.' upcoming Dceu sequel Suicide Squad 2 is getting on the right track, with director Gavin O'Connor (Warrior) coming aboard to take the helm, and today we have word that the sequel may be planning quite the big surprise. A new report claims that the sequel will serve as the Dceu introduction for Dwayne Johnson's long-awaited character Black Adam, who was originally supposed to star in the Shazam! movie before that project was reworked and Black Adam was given his own stand-alone adventure. This report also claims that production won't begin until October 2018, to accommodate The Rock's busy schedule.

The Rock already has two film projects lined up to shoot next year, Disney's Jungle Cruise movie and his controversial Fast & Furious spin-off that is in the works with Jason Statham, along with a possible fifth season of HBO's Ballers as well. Still, insiders state that Dwayne Johnson

Lionsgate Launches India Office, Appoints Rohit Jain as MD

Lionsgate Launches India Office, Appoints Rohit Jain as MD
Lionsgate has set up an office in Mumbai while announcing the appointment of Rohit Jain as MD for India.

The move builds on the company’s growing plans in the country, which included a 2015 Bollywood remake of the Tom Hardy-starrer Warrior, titled Brothers, with top actor Akshay Kumar in the lead role.

“If you can imagine Warrior with an erotic, booze-soaked dance number and double the love scenes, then you'll be able to wrap your head around the Indian version of the film,” said THR in its review, which also praised Brothers for adding local tweaks to the original.

What May Have Caused the Las Vegas Shooter to Kill? An Expert’s Analysis
Nearly two weeks later, investigators have yet to announce a potential motive behind the Las Vegas massacre, which killed 58 concertgoers and left hundreds more wounded. It may never be known what drove Stephen Paddock to shoot innocent people enjoying a country music festival from 32 stories up. But criminal profiler John Kelly tells People he believes Paddock was born a killer.

“What would drive somebody that is so methodical and structured in life to go insane in a very structured and methodical way?” Kelly, who acknowledges he never met the shooter, wonders. “Paddock was a pathological gambler, psychopath and a sociopath.

‘Wheelman’ Trailer: Frank Grillo Gets An Adrenaline Rush

You might not realize it, but Frank Grillo is kind of a huge deal. Well, certainly in China, where he’s the co-star of “Wolf Warrior 2,” the fifth highest grossing film of the year globally, earning $870 million. And that’s mostly in part due to China’s box office. That’s pretty crazy, and although the actor’s time might be about to arrive, he’s keeping it lean and mean for his next film.

Gavin O’Connor to write and direct Suicide Squad 2

It seems Warner Bros. and DC’s search for a director to Suicide Squad 2 may be over. Deadline has reported that the studio has chosen Warrior and The Accountant director Gavin O’Connor to write and direct the supervillain sequel.

He will write the script with Anthony Tambakis. There’s no word on when the pair will begin development, but it probably won’t be for a while. O’Connor is currently attached to direct a sequel to The Accountant with Ben Affleck for WB, so presumably Suicide Squad 2 will come after.

Other directors WB previously looked at include Mel Gibson and Jaume Collet-Serra. While original Suicide Squad writer and director David Ayer is not returning, he will be moving onto Gotham City Sirens, led by Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn.

Suicide Squad went on to earn WB over $745 million worldwide, despite a mixed reception from critics. Other films WB

Suicide Squad 2 Gets The Accountant Director Gavin O'Connor

  • MovieWeb
Just a few weeks after Suicide Squad 2 was put on the fast track, a new filmmaker is coming aboard. Warner Bros. has finalized a deal for Gavin O'Connor to write Suicide Squad 2, while also engaging in talks for him to direct the superhero sequel. Still, while the project looks to be finally moving forward, this report claims that filming isn't scheduled to begin until the fall of 2018, giving Gavin O'Connor plenty of time to perfect the story.

The news comes from Variety today, with the report claiming that, after it was confirmed original Suicide Squad director David Ayer won't be returning, this sequel directing gig was among the hottest jobs in town. It did seem at one point that the project was on the fast track, with the studio eyeing Jaume Collet-Serra to direct, with The Legend of Tarzan writer Adam Cozad also coming aboard this summer to write the script,

Frank Grillo stars in teaser for Netflix thriller Wheelman

  • JoBlo
It's a shock that Frank Grillo isn't a bigger star than he is. With a rough-hewn face, and charisma to spare, he single-handedly elevated the Purge sequels, and even held his own as a relatively small part of the underrated Ufc film Warrior. Maybe his next film Wheelman coming to Netflix will finally be his big break. Here's the official synopsis: Frank Grillo (Kingdom, Captain America: Civil War) stars as the... Read More...

Wolf Warrior 2 becomes only the second film ever to gross $800 million in a single market

Wolf Warrior 2 may have been knocked off the top spot in China by the release of Luc Besson’s Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, but the hit action film managed to add another $15.8 million to its haul, pushing its takings in the Middle Kingdom to an incredible $810 million.

The film, which is directed by Wu Jing and sees him leading a cast that also includes Celina Jade, Frank Grillo, Hans Zhang, and Wu Gang, had already become the highest-grossing film of all time in China, and is only the second film in history to gross over $800 million in a single market. The first to do so, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, earned $936.7 million in the U.S. following its release in December 2015.

Wolf Warrior 2 had spent thirty days at the top of the Chinese box office, during the summer “blackout period” which prevents the release of foreign films.

Film Review: ‘Wolf Warrior II’

Film Review: ‘Wolf Warrior II’
Earlier this week, “Wolf Warrior II” made the leap from smash hit to bona fide phenomenon, becoming the top grossing film released in its native China (more than $500 million in 12 days, and still counting). Like Sylvester Stallone before him, and John Wayne before Stallone, star Wu Jing (who also directs) has successfully exploited the crowd-pleasing potential of enhancing militaristic action-adventure heroics with a heavy dose of flag-waving patriotism. The big difference here, of course, is that the flag waved by Wu and others in this shoot-’em-up extravaganza is that of the People’s Republic of China, and Wu’s heroic Leng Feng is not a Green Beret, but rather a once and future member of his country’s elite Wolf Warriors special ops unit.

Depending on their own political leanings, some Westerners will be either amused or incensed by the full-throated nationalism that pervades “Wolf Warrior II,” and by the film’s sporadic insistence that Chinese
