Storyline
Sgt. Darren McGrath is investigating the disappearance of drugs from Martha's files. Jack has no choice but to lie to his face, while Cam clearly guesses the game now he's let off the hook, like Martha, who finally thanks Jack 'whether you did or not'. Kit's contractions are real this time; an accident caused a major detour on their way to hospital where Dr. Hugh Sullivan is on duty. Kim has to take a rough road, then gets a flat tire; the baby can't wait that long. Tony keeps the home front quiet while Rick drives to the hospital, unsuspecting. When he arrives first, Alf guesses what happened and drives after Kim, finding Kit unconscious and brings them in, it's a boy, Kim's son. When Tony drives there, the car accident detour isn't cleared yet, and to his horror the deadly victim is known. Written by

There's some nice comedy mixed in with the drama here, with the scenes of Kit giving birth played with a certain lightness of touch here. Chris Hemsworth and Amy Mizzi are great in these scenes and Mark Furze adds an extra touch when Ric gets involved:His reaction to going to the hospital is possibly the episode's best moment as he forms a nice double act with Matilda. And Alf comes to the rescue which is always great to see.Nice treatment of Rachel as well with Amy Mathews portraying her character's conflicted emotions.
The Jack/Martha/Cam plot line is a bit dull and fails to advance one jot.In a sense Jack is only righting the injustice he created but he's still breaking every rule in the book and getting away with it.It's a nice touch however that for once Martha sees past the feud between the two men in her life and thanks Jack for helping her.
Things take a darker turn in the last few minutes with the loaded conversations between first Jack and Ken(who, oddly, the cast list seems to think is McGrath)and then Jack and Tony.Superb performances from Paul O'Brien and Jon Sivewright ensure a strong ending.
