emotional, realistic and touching
2 December 2012 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

I don't normally write IMDb comments, but just saw this movie on DVD.this is definitely one of the better movie I have seen in years. In fact I have to say it is one of the beset Chinese movie I have seen. Story seem to be based in Taiwain in 1997 but filmed in about 2006.

The story is emotional, touching, full of friendship, love, anger yet a touch of reality which is what make this movie moves me. Hate to say that so many movie now a days got is too fictional that it is unrealistic or too fairy tale like. But this is a simple love, friendship story that unfold between a group of 7 boys. The story is beautiful and along with the complication of life, girl/boy relationship and academic this is a wonderful story. It also has a nice touch of the Taiwainese brother hood feeling and trust among the friends which is absolutely beautiful but reality and survival often trumpets over everything which is just say. This is a movie that I will Strongly strongly recommended.
