Storyline

When the Mayans, a Latino gang led by Marcus Alvarez, steal the Sons' stockpile of weapons and burn their warehouse, SAMCRO is placed in a difficult position, as they have already taken payment for the guns from the 1-9ers, a powerful African-American gang led by Laroy Wayne. As Clay plots their revenge, Jax finds an old document written by his dead father, co-founder of the Sons, about the direction in which he wanted SAMCRO to go; nothing like the gun-running direction in which Clay has taken them. When they locate where the Mayans are hiding their weaponry, Clay calls upon Jax to bring his friend Opie back into the fold. However, Opie has recently been released from jail after refusing to testify against SAMCRO, and has promised his wife Donna he will go straight. the best pilot in a long time!
29 March 2011 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

This single episode sums up the entire show, gang wars, bike journeys and brawls. Truly one of the greatest shows of all time. The acting in this program is phenomenal. I wasn't expecting much from Katey Segal if i'm honest, because after her comedy roll in 8 SIMPLE RULES, i didn't think she could have pulled of the whole drama thing, but i was pleasantly surprised with a hard-hitting, Golden Globe winning performance. Charlie Hunnam plays the vice president of a biker gang, a part which was brilliantly written. My Favourite character, CHIBS, played by Tommy Flanagan, is a hilarious part well casted. Not forgetting Ron Pearlman's worryingly convincing roll as the gangs president. So a good opening for a good show ;)
