Storyline

The players are Bruce Seymour (the returning champion), a retired international lawyer from Piedmont, California; Steven Chinn, a lawyer originally from London, England; and Jamie Campbell, a secretary at a financial accounting firm from Roeland Park, Kansas. The Jeopardy categories are Nevada, Names, Numbers in Song, Business & Industry, Shakespeare and Back to the Beach. At the halfway point, Jamie leads with $2,800, followed by Bruce ($2,500). The Double Jeopardy categories are Presidents, Explorers, Starts with "E", Anatomy, Cheese and Mortal Matters. Bruce, the international lawyer, retired to research American Presidents, so he runs the Presidents' category to start off Double Jeopardy and gets comfortably ahead. Jamie has one Daily Double chance in Anatomy to try and catch Bruce, but she misses the question. The question is, "Of the four main parts of the blood, which two start with the letter P?" She chooses plasma, but can't think of platelets. After that, Bruce coasts along.... Written by J. Spurlin
