- The gameplay revolves around Sonic attacking other evil knights with swords. Most enemies disintergrate after death but it's extremely quick and not very graphic. Knight Bosses fall to the floor when defeated but don't die, dragons have there horns cut off to be defeated. None of this mentioned is bloody in any way.
- A character attempts suicide after losing in a fight and "loses his honor" but is quickly interrupted.
- A character is stabbed to death however the screen turns black when he gets struck, he is then seen falling to the floor. Not graphic and no blood.
Profanity

- One very brief mumbling use of the word 'Damn'.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

- You can equip potions of unknown substances to your characters for stat boosts, but that's about it. No one is even shown drinking any.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- This game can be considered one of the darkest In the entire series due to it's themes. These include The end of the world, Death and living life to the fullest before the world ends or you die. This may all be too much for younger kids
- Sonic gets beat up pretty badly in one very tense scene.
- One level involves you escaping a castle as it collapses, during the outside segments the camera pans out to show the player all the destruction that's occurring.
- The final boss of the game looks pretty scary
