Plot Summary

  • A Congressman is on trial for murdering his mistress by shooting her. Langston is testifying for the prosecution which has some pretty solid evidence. In the middle of the trial, however, the Congressman's Chief of Staff commits suicide outside the courtroom with the gun that killed the mistress. In his suicide note, he claims responsibility for the murder, although the evidence show reason to doubt that.

  • Congressman Griffin is on trial for the shooting of his mistress, Amber Jones, discovered after he passed on her chlamydia to his wife, resulting in a miscarriage. his chief of staff Dominic Humphreys commits suicide by bullet in the head in the courthouse. He leaves a written confession, but didn't have opportunity to shoot her and stalker Tommy Ruby, whom Dominice tried to frame, has a solid alibi. Thus Griffin's trial continues and reaches a conviction. The team however worked out from the victim's daughter's rash that both women were being poisoned for weeks, and finds a logical suspect close to the congressman.
