Storyline

Naomi finds herself in trouble when she fails an assignment, and Ryan and Kelly bring the issue to Harry's attention, while Harry struggles with a disturbing revelation about the result of a secret tryst with Naomi's mother, Tracy, from many years ago. Meanwhile, Dixon learns more about Navid when they team up to try to pull a school prank against Palisades High. Annie meets a potential love interest in the form of drama student Ty Collins, who turns out to be the wealthiest student at West Beverly, and who spirits her away for San Francisco for the evening. Silver posts the story about Ethan's infidelity with Naomi on her Internet blog, while Adrianna continues her self-destructive slide into drugs and debauchery. Also, Ryan tries to ask Kelly out on a date, but she has to find a babysitter first for her four-year-old son, and former West Beverly alumni Brenda Walsh, now a successful Broadway and London theater director, arrives back in town to help put on a new school play. Quotes

Ryan Matthews: Adrianna, what's up with you? Are you okay?
Adrianna Duncan: Yeah, I'm just distracted. I have this really big audition for this movie this week and I just haven't been able to sleep.
Ryan Matthews: And if you don't get it, what then?
Adrianna Duncan: Well, then I'd be in a movie, make lots of money.
Ryan Matthews: So what, you can buy a new cell phone or maybe a fancy pair of shoes? Maybe an expensive car you don't really need?
Adrianna Duncan: No, so I can pay the mortgage 'cause my mom can't.

The One Where Brenda Returns...
3 April 2017 | by (Australia) – See all my reviews

I really enjoyed this episode. So much happens. We've got drama, duh, and so much more.

In this episode, we have several story lines, a little too much to handle. Naomi gets in trouble after failing an assignment, which leads her Mother, Tracy to talk to the principal. Turns out she and Principal Wilson dated when they themselves were teenagers. Dixon and Navid pull a prank on an opposing lacrosse team. Annie meets Ty, the lead in the school play, and he jets her off to San Francisco for dinner. Since he's the wealthiest person at West Bev, it did not burn a hole in his credit card. Meanwhile, Silver blogs about Ethan and Naomi's relationship troubles, which is just so rude.

Best part of this episode: Nothing in particular.

Worst part of this episode: Nothing in particular.

Overall, I give this episode a 8 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Awesome.
