The presence of a Ringo/Rachel clip from last year in the recap suggests old events are about to be revisited. It's nice that Ringo's image problems remain in the background rather than simply being forgotten about and it leads to a nice scene between Ringo and Carmella, a relationship that seemed to have been completely forgotten about up till now.
Other story lines get brought to a head during the slave auction, with the Lucas/Dan and Miranda/Nicola rivalries being brought into the open. It seems Nicola's olive branch to Miranda may well have been their last chance for peace and now the gloves are off. There's a certain sexism to the whole thing, as a bunch of fit young men are forced to expose themselves while no-one asks Bridget to get them off. There is, however, a very nice moment when Donna puts an end to Declan and Josh's macho bidding war.
Elsewhere, Rachel's freaking out at No.32.We got a few hints of this last episode but it seems she's gone into a panic without any real build-up.It also seems a bit odd for her to open the door if she thinks there's a prowler outside. And the power blackout that causes her to brain Ty is a bit contrived.
