Not a "feel good" movie to say the least but good nonetheless. This was a dark movie that follows a group of characters that all come in contact with each other one way or another and all end up meeting again in the morgue. The protagonist is the head mortician who has problems expressing any emotion probably due to his dysfunctional family. You wonder if his job made him so distant or if his distance led him to his job. The amateur nature of most of the actors can be a little distracting times but it doesn't ruin the movie. This movie paints Quito as a dark, grimy and gritty place but every movie can't be all pretty and glossy. It's good to see more countries in Latin America try to build up a film industry.

Reminded me of the great films that have come out of Romania and other eastern European countries during the past 15 years. A touching and beautiful film about human connections and disconnections. Wonderful soundtrack, especially the title song. I hope I will find other films by Victor Arregui.
