Deepika Padukone, a certifiable workaholic, is about to take her first full-fledged holiday. And we aren't talking about a few stolen days with her family.
Says the actress with 4 back-to-back blockbusters in 2013 to her credit, "I've been working round-the-clock completing multiple films. I became so work-obsessed that I came to a point where I felt guilty when I was not working. I didn't entertain let alone enjoy a single day of free time. That's how work-obsessed I became this year."
The obsessive work-load has now been lightened a bit and Deepika intends to take time off this Christmas and New Year.
Says the stunner, "I can take a guilt-free vacation because the rest of the film industry is also planning to get away later this month. So obviously I can't be working."
Deepika can't wait to spend time with her parents and sister. "This year I have been able to »

This isn't the first film with a Sardar-hero to get into trouble. Sikh organizations raised a hue and cry over Akshay Kumar's, Ranbir Kapoor's and Saif Ali Khan's length of the beard and/or the way the turban was tied in Singh Is Kinng, Rocket Singh Salesman Of The Year and Love Aaj Kal. Now it's Sunny Deol's turn to face the fury of intolerance. A source reveals that some members of censor board have objected to a sequence in the new Sunny Deol starrer Singh Saab The Great where Sunny takes his turban off and uses it to save a child's life. Apparently, a heated argument ensued when the censor board asked for that scene to be deleted as they opined, it was likely to hurt religious sentiments. Says the reliable source, "When some panel members objected to the scene, the director Anil Sharma fought »

After the success of films such as Jab We Met and Rockstar, the director was asked about the possibility of making a sequel, but Ali is clear. “Jab We Met is over. Now that Geet and Aditya are married with kids, the only way to take their love story ahead is to create a conflict between them, which people wouldn’t like.” However, he leaves the way open to Rockstar 2. “Rockstar is an open story with Jordan having grown in stature. So far I have turned down every offer, but if I can nail a good story, I wouldn’t mind taking Rockstar forward,” he said, although he also insisted that the sequel cannot be made without Ranbir Kapoor. “I can’t imagine Rockstar without Ranbir. »

Currently shooting in Los Angeles for Happy Ending, Saif Ali Khan was hardly amused when he was informed of some stray reporting around him being tagged 'jinxed' as a co-star. The insinuation came from the case studies of Giselli Monteiro (Love Aaj Kal) and Diana Penty (Cocktail) who haven't really picked up anything substantial after making their debut with Saif."Shouldn't it be the other way round i.e. Saif being lucky for newcomers like Giselli or Diana," comments a source, »

If all goes well, A.R. Rahman would be composing music for an Imtiaz Ali film again after Rockstar. That would be for the film Highway where Randeep Hooda would turn out to be an unlikely candidate for getting yet another musical to his name after Murder 3. "It is almost certain that Rahman is on board for Highway. Though there have been on and off murmurs for quite some time around him consenting to this Sajid Nadiadwala production, it is a matter of formality now. Rahman shares a very good relationship with Imtiaz and not many are aware that he had composed some tracks many years ago when Rockstar was being planned with John Abraham. Though Imtiaz had roped in Pritam for Jab We Met and Love Aaj Kal, it was back to Rahman for him when Ranbir Kapoor joined Rockstar", informs a source. The relationship continues with Highway where »

More than a year after Rockstar, Imtiaz Ali is now gearing up to get going with Highway. However, despite the relevance and the significance of the film's title, he isn't going on an overdrive. Instead, he is taking his time before he summons his actors and starts calling the shots. "That's the way he works. If at all he would have been a man in hurry, he would have signed half a dozen films after the success of Jab We Met (2007). However, he waited for a couple of years before releasing Love Aaj Kal (2009). Post that he waited again for two more years for Rockstar (2011) to arrive. Read More »
Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan will not be gracing our screens together anymore. The newlyweds who have worked together in three films, Tashan, Kurbaan and Agent Vinod may be shining as one of the best off screen couples, but on screen will no longer work together.
Saif told Ndtv, he believes that the more comfortable couples are in real life, the more terrible they are to watch on film. He stated, “I don’t need to work with Kareena in order to feel fulfilled. Kareena is a great actor and it would have been nice to work with her.’
The couple who tied the knot in October last year have not managed to score a hit at the box office. Although Agent Vinod which was released under Saif’s own production house, illuminati films it did not manage to wow audiences; instead Love Aaj Kal in which he starred opposite Deepika Padokune, »

The film is one of the most keenly anticipated films of the year and directed by duo Abbas-Mustan, who also helmed the first part back in 2008. Saif took a few moments out to speak to the London press, in Central London’s Leicester Square. Here’s what he had to share:
On making sequels:
I suggested once to the producers of Main Khiladi Tu Anari (1994) that we make a sequel and they said that we do not make sequels in India and that it was a very silly idea and that I should not mention it again! Now it seems, as is common in industries like ours, that people follow trends and every film which is successful now has a sequel planned. At one point »
