AWFUL isn't a strong enough word
gams-2754028 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Seriously, I'd love the 2 hours back of my life I wasted watching this. There was zero horror. Zero suspense. Zero drama. Zero zero zero zero everything. The first hour was spent with very little at all. In the first hour you see him get fired, go for a jog, and look for the house. It's so ungodly slow that I found myself wishing someone would just kill the main character. The 2nd hour wasn't much better at all. The acting and effects were beyond bad. You never even really see a witch in the entire movie. The costume was awful and reminiscent of the movie Scream. The ONLY good thing about the entire movie was the main characters friend from work. He was at least funny.

Don't waste your time watching this. Seriously, you've been warned.

It's Wild. You're Wild.

Meets all the criteria of a movie in that there is both visuals and audio to observe in a narrative format.

The intro is fairly exciting, suffers from 1 point lighting and overly tight shots. Some decent eye-related special effects, and a lot of Season 1 TNG camera shake.

After a too long credit scene, the movie pops off:

Act 1 has everything: leather jacket, radio Dj when the car is off, Troy Forman, the shadow of the boom, a flirtatious diner worker, and a lot of day for night, burnt rice, and jogging in a graveyard.

At least he has a good relationship with his dad.

Act 2 has everything: B&L Hardware, budget Keenan Thompson, Crampbark, Querioo, reading a common knowledge Wikipedia article outloud, actual night shots, complimentary bed and breakfast GUN, an accurate depiction of local police, flannel day, Lockpick Level 100.

Hasn't called his dad in a while.

Act 3 has everything: not reading the instructions, an exposition laden Word document, 1930s music, exploding furniture, red filter in post, a single scary shot with a glove. Jogging in a different graveyard.

Still no call to dad.

The Finale has everything: a church near a train tunnel, an overly complex riddle, hot fishy ass, blue filter in post, exactly one jump-scare, speech-induced crickets, Menards lawn angel, a personal sacrifice of hand ketchup, a nonsensical ending.

Probably shouldn't have eaten that Thai Bowl.

Beautiful
loriderski21 September 2023
It was the most stunning, alluring, bewitching town, house, & scenic wood trails that I forgot to be scared. Maybe that's not the best review for a horror movie but it was by far one of the most stunning locations I've ever seen on film. I love old homes and New England towns have lots of them. I'm not sure if the actors in all the downtown shops were locals but they sure were lucky. What a beautiful place to visit let alone act in a movie. Doug Rouillard was truly a great actor. I sensed some improvising which I attest to be a sure sign. The storyline is perfectly credible for the area yet far from hokey. I'm obsessed with Google Earth and enjoy visiting movie locations via, so I suggest the same to you. Enjoy & remember: Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. 😉

True Suspense Indy!!
productions_dr-4397212 April 2023
A true suspense, independent film that brings the past and present together. This was a complete joy to not only make but also watch, and I hope you all enjoy it as much as we did producing it. The story is part of the much larger one that so many people lived so long ago, and was brought to the forefront by this incredible cast. DR Productions, and digital narrative put together this piece of art with the help of ITN distribution to explore the mind and frustration of what it is truly like to be alone in a haunted home. A wise man once said, be careful what you wish for as you might just Get the opportunity to experience it.
