Howard takes advice, again.

Barry tries to help his lonely neighbour Mr Chislehurst, Howard takes advice on how to reinvigorate Pearl's love for him, with disastrous consequences.

It's a pretty average episode at best, the last one was funny and a little bit more daring. This one sees the show return to a more plodding affair.

Tyler Butterworth was decent as Chislehurst, though it wasn't easy to believe in the saga between him and Miss Davenport.

The highlight here had to be Howard walking out of his house with his shoes in hand, that was funny.

Not the best, 5/10.

The episode has our senior citizens swinging through the treetops like they were on I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

After that it gets more sedate, apart from Mr Chislehurst, Barry's neighbour. He gets run over by Barry as he reverses his car.

Now Barry is stuck with Mr Chislehurst who is a bit lonely. So Barry decides to pair him up with Miss Devenport (despite the age difference as he is much younger!)

Meanwhile Howard takes advice from Alvin, Truly and Entwistle regarding his relationship with Pearl. They tell him to be more assertive and demanding. Like getting Pearl to clean his shoes.

Howard ends up being thrown out of the house with shoes in tow.

Both Howard and Mr Chislehurst ends up at Auntie Wainwright's were they dress up as artistic types or Italian gangsters. Take your pick.

For Mr Chislehurst there is a happy ending. Alvin's secret to wooing women works. Doing a Maurice Chevalier impression.

I do recall Compo used to mimic Maurice Chevalier in the past.

Certainly a below average episode. How did Howard think he was going to get away with being dominant to Pearl?
