When bitten by a genetically modified spider, a nerdy, shy, and awkward high school student gains spider-like abilities that he eventually must use to fight evil as a superhero after tragedy befalls his family.
Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-MEN. Written by

Many of the ships and weapons seen in the US and Soviet fleets did not exist in 1962 at the time of the Cuban missile crisis. For example the US flagship is the USS Iowa, but the Iowa was not in service at the time. Even if she had been, the ship was not fitted with the CIWS Gatling gun defense system until the 1980s. Amongst the collection of missiles fired at the beach are Harpoon anti ship missiles, which came into service in 1977, and Tomahawk missiles, which came into service in the late 1970s. On the Soviet side the flagship appears to be a Kresta class cruiser, a design not in service until 1967. See more »
Mother. What are you... I thought you were a burglar.
I didn't mean to scare you, darling. I was just getting a snack. Go back to bed. What's the matter? Go on, back to bed.I, I'll make you a hot chocolate.
Who are you? And what have you done with my mother?
[telepathically in her mind]
My mother has never set foot in this kitchen in her life. And she certainly never made me a hot chocolate, unless you count ordering the maid to do it.

Xmen: First Class is simply fantastic. Strong emotion and explosive action. The acting is top notch. Delivery from every actor is at it's best, more so from Mystique, Beast, Xavier and Magneto.
The story is more character based than action, however the action sequences are still superb. Personally i'd have liked to of seen it being a 15 and have a more adult but it wasn't a big issue. Also some more background story from the bad super's would have been good but again this wasn't too much of an issue and would leave some nice room for upcoming xmen movies.
I don't want to say too much but to break it down... Go see this film no matter what you are into. There is something for everyone. 9/10 easy
