Trivia

Lex's ploy of using a dummy's silhouette framed by a window as bait for a would-be assassin is reminiscent of the Sherlock Holmes tale The Adventure of the Empty House. In the Holmes story, he places a lifelike waxwork bust in his window, which is then "shot" by his would-be assassin, Colonel Moran. See more »

Goofs

When Clark gives Chloe his boutonnière from his freshman year as "something borrowed" he says it's from the Homecoming Dance (pilot episode). But they went together to the Spring Formal (season one finale). See more »

Quotes

Clark Kent: [Lana is reading a text message in a secluded area of the barn/wedding reception when Clark finds her] Chloe's glad you came. I could have used some warning. You weren't planning on coming back, were you?
Lana Lang: Yeah, not until a few hours ago.
Clark Kent: So, what changed your mind? I'm not expecting you to say it was me.
Lana Lang: I read about the mysterious blur saving lives in Metropolis. I'm proud of you, Clark. It's who you should have been all along.
Clark Kent: Does that mean you're happy you left?
Lana Lang: It was the hardest decision I...

Of course, there can't be a normal wedding on this show
24 August 2010 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

A surprise visitor comes to the wedding of Chloe and Jimmy in this past-paced, tremendous 'Smallville' episode. Chloe can no longer remember Clark's secret, but Clark is fine with that as he no longer has to be concerned that knowledge of it will hurt her or cause her to leave his life as it has for Pete Ross, Ma and Pa Kent, Lionel Luthor, Lana Lang, and even his one-time friend, now-nemesis Lex Luthor. As the wedding reaches its happy day, Chloe cannot ignore the incessant attention of Davis Bloome, who now understands fairly well who he is, but that he feels drawn to her as well. This episode is shocking in the storm that brews up to the wedding, and surprising to see the twists at the end, especially with regards to Jimmy's future, who Davis is, and a familiar face that arises as the Green Arrow just about intercepts Lex Luthor himself.
