Washington, Dec 8: Anthony Hopkins has signed up to play Alfred Hitchcock in a biopic based on the legendary director.
The role will mark the actors' latest real-person portrayal, the British-born movie star has also played former Us president Richard Nixon, artist Pablo Picasso, bike racer Burt Munro, former British leader David Lloyd George and writer Charles Dickens onscreen.
According to CinemaBlend.com, Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho is based on Stephen Rebello's book of the same name, Contactmusic reported.
The film will be directed by Sasha Gervasi and Dame Helen Mirren is in talks to play.
