You've heard it all before, some international crime syndicate is stealing cargo's filled with cars and is holding illegal races and it leaves one special agent to investigate and go undercover as an underworld street racer with the guidance of a fellow agent who's not only hot but is smart and has a name that goes with the game( "Chase", played by the lovely Maggie Q from Mission: Impossible III, and Live Free Or Die Hard). Maggie Q leads a nice cast that includes Christina Millian( Love don't cost a thing, Pulse, Be Cool, American Pie), Lawrence B. Adisa( NYPD Blue), and Jessica Alba's baby brother Joshua Alba( Alpha Dog). All do solid performances.

Currently playing the game I must say that I'm very impressed by the graphics of this game, it looks incredibly believable as do the animatics. The sheer cinematography creates such an awesome a nd colorful world, it's like a Jerry Bruckheimer production with game play that has the velocity of a Michael Bay/Tony Scott/Wachowski Bros. film. The live action footage has a neat cinematography and has a nice directorial style by 24 producer designer Joseph A. Hodges.

The game play is pretty easy too, but a lot of the races are pretty easy, almost too easy. Still, it's a wild ride that puts the "fast" in "The fast and the furious." I never had the opportunity to play any other Need for Speed games prior to this one, but thanks to this I'm in the mood to find as many of them as possible and add it to my game collection, well rent first, if possible. I know I'll buy this baby one of these days and it won't be later.
