Carlos Solis (as Ricardo Antonio Chavira)
Preston Scavo (credit only)

In the aftermath of the devastating nightclub fire, Susan deals with the fact that the recovering Mike is now involved with Katherine. Meanwhile, Porter gets accused of setting the fire, and Lynette decides to protect him despite not believing his innocent claims that he did not start the fire. Lynette also confronts Annie in which she bribes her to leave town and never see Porter again. Bree deals with Orson's snoring habit resulting from his broken nose, and in trying to deal with her sleepless nights, has an unfortunate reaction to one too many sleeping pills to cope with it. Carlos learns that there's a possibility he could get his sight back, but this isn't good news for Gabrielle who doesn't want him to see her as she is now. Elsewhere, Dave (the real culprit of the fire) struggles with hiding his guilt, while he begins planting evidence that Porter is the guilty party for setting the fire. Written by Anonymous

Did You Know?

Carlos Solis: Did I ever tell you when I knew I was going to marry you?
Gabrielle Solis: First time you saw me on the runway.
Carlos Solis: Nooo. That's when I knew I was gonna sleep with you.
Carlos Solis: Nah, I knew I was going to marry you the night we went to that restaurant on 3rd Street.
Gabrielle Solis: Mmm. I remember that place.

After The Fire
5 July 2014 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

After we get to see City Of Fire - the best episode of the fifth season and arguably the best episode of the show during its 8-year run - we witness the after effects of the fire that broke out in the club in this episode entitled Me and My Town.

Carlos and Gabrielle sustained injuries during the fire. But it proved to be a blessing of sorts as they made a discovery about something. What was it?Let's discuss some other time in future reviews. LOL

As for the Scavos,Lynette and Tom somehow made an commitment together in their tension-filled marriage after they vowed to protect their son Porter, whom they believe was responsible for starting the fire at the club. Will both get back together?

Susan is starting to realize that she must learn to let go of past boyfriends and lovers as well as romances considering that it does not benefit her at all. This was proved after they took some action in reigniting the relationship she had with Jackson and now that Mike is having a romantic relationship with Katherine.I felt that the writers should finally create a new storyline for her as well considering that these premises are getting mundane to the viewers.

Finally,Bree and Orson are in an awkward situation when sleeping at night after a sex tape has been released. She knows very well that there are people out to get her and make a news out of her especially now that she is becoming a household name. But during the day, both are very happy especially when Bree demonstrates cooking for him.

After stating the events the have happened,I felt that there is more to look forward to in the future episodes of the fifth season.I can only wait with excitement. But nevertheless,I just hope they come up with a better storyline for Susan.
