Fun Stuff

Trivia:
Carl begins to mention the only show on TV who has stars over 50, and then stops in fear of "breaking the wall". He is of course referring to Boston Legal itself, who is known for its habit of constantly breaking the 4th wall. more
Quotes:
Denny Crane: [Discussing their upcoming case - and the series finale] Hey, maybe I'll retire after this.
Alan Shore: Don't be ridiculous...
Denny Crane: Well, what better way to go out? My last case - in front of the Supreme Court. Now there's a finale, Alan.
Alan Shore: They should put it on TV.
Denny Crane: We'd get ratings.
Alan Shore: If they promoted us. Of course, I think there's a law against promoting us.
Denny Crane: Seems to be.
Alan Shore: [Later in scene] Oh, won't they be so happy to see us again?
Denny Crane: The rematch.
Alan Shore: [laughs] The rematch.

Clip of Candace Bergen, 3 January 2009
Author: John from Richardson, TX

Towards the end of the episode, Denny is having a flashback of a younger Candace Bergen swimming. I'm curious to know where that clip is from.

Oh, yeah, I'm over 50, too. (LOL) I was glad to see Judge Clark Brown's ruling in Katherine's case.

One of the things I've always loved about Boston Legal is the consistent 'violation' of the 4th wall. I've always wondered how David Kelley was consistently able to mock the networks without any repercussions. But then again, the show was ultimately canceled, so I guess I got my answer.

I for one, will miss the brilliance of this show. It entertained, made me think, sparked debates, and more. Sure the show was definitely geared towards the left, but I thought that it treated both the left and right with respect.
