Exclusive: From 'Undressed' to 'StartUp,' a Career Retrospective With Adam Brody

28 September 2017 8:03 AM, PDT | Entertainment Tonight | See recent Entertainment Tonight news »

For better or worse, Adam Brody will always be remembered as Seth Cohen from The O.C. The affable and awkward teen is easy to find inside the weathered and wiser 37-year-old Brody, but the San Diego native might never be able to shake his early-aughts pop culture iconography. Despite that infamous role, Brody has had a pretty consistent career over the last two decades, playing opposite Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in Mr. & Mrs. Smith, being directed by famed playwright Neil Labute and making guest appearances on beloved TV shows like House of Lies and The League. This month, he’s in the buddy comedy Big Bear, where he gets to sport a pretty mean mustache, and returns with the second season of StartUp on Crackle.

With two such diverse roles coming out in the same month and nostalgia for shows like Gilmore Girls and The O.C. at an all-time high, Brody sits down »

Dwayne Johnson's Video Game Adaptation Rampage Adds The Office's Jake Lacy & Frontier's Breanne Hill

15 February 2017 5:45 PM, PST | ComicBookMovie.com | See recent ComicBookMovie news »

Variety is reporting that Jake Lacy and Breanne Hill have joined the cast of New Line's upcoming arcade game adaptation, Rampage, which will star Dwayne Johnson (The Fate of the Furious) in the lead role. The pair are now the latest actors to join the ever-growing cast, that in addition to Johnson, recently added Academy Award-nominee Naomie Harris (Moonlight), Joe Manganiello (The Batman), and Marley Shelton (Scream 4) in key roles. Brad Peyton (San Andreas) is helming the feature with a script from Ryan Engle (Non-Stop), Carlton Cuse (San Andreas), Ryan Condal (Hercules), and Adam Sztykiel (Due Date), who completed revisions on the most recent draft. Plot details are being kept under lock-and-key, but the film is expected to remain fairly faithful to the classic game as it will feature "a monstrously transformed gorilla, crocodile, and wolf, who wreak havoc on North American cities and landmarks." No word on Lacy & Hill's characters, »

Joe Manganiello & Marley Shelton Set Sights on Film Adaptation of Rampage

9 February 2017 3:38 PM, PST | DailyDead | See recent DailyDead news »

It looks like Dwayne Johnson could be getting some more help going up against the colossal creatures in Rampage, as Joe Manganiello and Marley Shelton have reportedly set their sights on key roles in the film.

According to THR, Manganiello (Pee-wee's Big Holiday, True Blood, the upcoming The Batman) is in talks to play the "leader of a private military group" in New Line Cinema's film adaptation of the ’80s Midway arcade game Rampage, which featured massive monsters wreaking havoc in cities. Shelton (Lifetime's The Lottery, Scream 4, Death Proof), meanwhile, is in negotiations to play a "scientist and astronaut" (the latter of which may conjure up images of space cities being demolished in the 1999 sequel Rampage 2: Universal Tour).

Should Manganiello and Shelton officially come aboard the project, they would join Johnson and Naomie Harris in the cast's ranks. According to THR, Harris will play "a geneticist with »

41 trailer scenes that didn’t make the final film

6 February 2017 3:24 AM, PST | Den of Geek | See recent Den of Geek news »

Rob Leane Feb 10, 2017

Star Wars, Terminator 2, Fantastic Beasts and more: they all have scenes in the trailer, that never made the final film...

More often than you might think, scenes that appear in movie trailer don’t turn up in the finished film. This can leave trailer-loving audience members confused as the credits roll, wondering if they dropped off and missed something important.

See related  Iron Fist: what to expect from Marvel’s Netflix hero Luke Cage smashed Marvel's 2016 Netflix ratings Daredevil season 3: Vincent D’Onofrio mulls Fisk's return Marvel's The Defenders: more images arrive

A couple of massive movies have done this recently, and the internet has been quick to fill in the blanks with speculation. Fingers have been pointed at tinkering studio bigwigs and extensive reshoots, when the reality is often a little less dramatic: filmmakers always chop some footage in the edit, and they rarely have much involvement in the trailers. »

Interview: Aimee Teegarden Talks Taking on Samara in Rings

3 February 2017 6:05 PM, PST | DailyDead | See recent DailyDead news »

As art student Skye, Aimee Teegarden finds herself caught up in the deadly curse of The Tape in Paramount PicturesRings. The inevitable meeting between Skye and Samara is one of my favorite scenes from the film, so I was excited to speak with Teegarden about smashing screens in that intense scene, working with Johnny Galecki, and what creeped her out the most on set.

Thanks for taking the time to talk with me today about Rings. I really enjoyed your character [Skye] in particular.

Aimee Teegarden: It was such a fun role—she [Skye] was so much fun to play. My dad was there [at the screening] with me last night and he was like, “Wow, you were really angry, weren’t you?”

Skye shares many scenes with Gabe, and it’s great to see Johnny Galecki play this totally different role than people know him as. What was it like working with Johnny in that capacity? »
