An entertaining and undemanding watch on the small screen, HBO's Entourage lifted the lid on the glitz and glamour of Hollywood to show what it might be like to live the life of a movie A-lister. Heavy on star cameos and bro banter, the show whizzed by in 30-minute instalments and swiftly built up a cult following.
There was something hugely appealing about living vicariously through fast-rising star Vincent Chase and his boys from Queens. That's not to mention Jeremy Piven's agent Ari Gold, whose unwavering loyalty to Vince was matched only by his explosive temper.
An Entourage film has been long in the works, though its arrival long after the show's creative and pop cultural peak can't »
Rumours of a third Sex and the City movie don't seem to be going away. It's approaching five years since the critically-panned sequel was released, but that doesn't seem to have stopped the show's stars, writer or fans discussing another outing for Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte.
And the show has been back in the headlines this week thanks to a poorly (or cleverly) worded Instagram post from Sarah Jessica Parker. A shot of the actress outside New York's Bloomingdale's in a very Carrie Bradshaw outfit sparked speculation that a third movie was finally in production. A few days later, she confirmed the post was about her shoe line...
For the two days that Sex and the City 3 seemed to be happening, it was interesting to see the reaction from fans and critics on social media. To say the news was divisive would be an understatement indeed. It begs the »
The actress dropped her biggest hint yet by posting a photo of herself outside Bloomingdale's in New York City in an outfit that definitely looks like it belongs in Carrie Bradshaw's wardrobe.
Well. I guess the cat's out of the (little brown) bag. As usual, we will keep you posted on every detail as we are able. I'm under strict gag order until then. Xx, Sj

Although she didn't mention Sex and the City by name, she sparked fans' interest by including the caption: "Well. I guess the cat's out of the (little brown) bag. As usual, we will keep you posted on every detail as we are able."
She added: "I'm under strict gag order until then."
Speculation about a third Sex and the City »
Back in Sex and the City's TV heyday, when many people were trying to figure out which of the main characters they were most like, there seemed to be an unspoken belief that it was bad to be "a Miranda." Think about it: Carrie has the cool curly hair, unique fashion sense, and interesting job; Samantha is completely fearless when it comes to everything in life, especially sex; and Charlotte is pretty and perfect and lives on Park Avenue. But Miranda? Miranda Hobbes has the dowdiest wardrobe (especially in the first two seasons!) and can be so pessimistic that she often veers into Debbie Downer territory. "But she's so mean to Steve!" your girlfriends may have said; "That haircut!" another probably quipped. Be honest - you did not want to be a Miranda. Here's the thing about Miranda, though: she is the realest. She is, quite possibly, the baddest b*tch on the block, »
It is a momentous day for Sex and the City fans around the world as Sarah Jessica Parker celebrates her 50th birthday. While the role of Carrie Bradshaw made Sarah a fashion icon and a superstar, she has starred in a wide variety of films and television shows over four decades. Parker began her career as a child star on the stage in Annie, and has gone on to become an enduring fixture in pop culture.
Her movie career was launched with supporting roles in '80s teen comedies Footloose and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, but soon she grew into a leading lady with memorable roles in a string of early 1990s comedies. Parker might be best known for romantic comedies these days, but over the last 30 years she's impressed critics in roles as diverse a mystical witch, an egotistical talkshow host and the embodiment of a single woman of the 2000s. »
The feature-length, more expensive and extra-expansive movie version of Bad Education started shooting on February 24rd, and I have just been sent the first image from the set. You can see it in full below.
Like episodes of the TV show, the movie has been written by Jack Whitehall and Freddy Syborn and directed by Elliot Hegarty. The same cast are on board too, with Whitehall, the kids, Sarah Solemani and Harry Enfield all appearing.
And in the tradition of sitcoms-turned-movies, the story is about a trip of some kind. In this case, the cast decamp to Cornwall – less expensive than The Inbetweeners’ Magaluf, perhaps, and certainly less glitzy than Sex and the City 2’s Dubai, but somewhere I’d far rather go on my holidays.
All we know of the plot so far is that it’s about a nightmare school trip staged as “one last hurrah” for »

The second Sex and the City movie was released in 2010, with the HBO series previously having wrapped up in 2004.
Speaking to E!, Davis said: "I think we'd all like to do it again."
She then added more enthusiastically: "We want to do it!"
Davis has now explained the messages, saying: "Every once in a while something comes over us. I can't explain it. We get nostalgic. We start tweeting each other crazy things and then all of a sudden people are talking about it and we're like, 'Uh-oh'."
Jennifer Hudson also built up excitement last year when she said there were "talks" going on about a new sequel. »
I'll be curious to see the CinemaScore for Fifty Shades of Grey this weekend, more than any previous CinemaScore that I can remember. Critical reviews and Internet comment sections will never give the true opinion of the people seeing this film, though I'm sure some interesting posts will be found on Facebook. There is interest, however, as Thursday night screenings of the film amassed $8.6 million and while these aren't Twilight or The Hunger Games numbers, they are much better than the $2.5 million Sex and the City saw in 2008 and nearly triple Sex and the City 2 took in from midnight screenings in 2010. The first Sex and the City film opened to the tune of $57 million as it's looking more and more like Fifty Shades may hit the $70-80 million number this weekend, if not higher. You can read my review of the movie here and I'll have a complete box office wrap-up on Sunday morning. »

The anticipation for Fifty Shades of Grey is heating up.

Fifty Shades, which stars Jamie Dornan as the smoldering, S&M-loving playboy millionaire Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as timid literature student Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) who embark on an intense romance, has outpaced previous R-rated hot sellers, including Sex and the City 2, The Hangover's final two installments and Gone Girl.
It's also the fastest-selling non-sequel film since 2012's The Hunger Games, which still holds the title. Pretty impressive for a movie -- one of the year's most anticipated -- that barely dodged the restrictive Nc-17 rating.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" trailer was the most popular of 2014. And now, Fandango is reporting that the film is the fastest-selling R-rated title in the 15 years of the company's history. The top five R-rated sellers in their first week of pre-sales are "Fifty Shades of Grey," "Sex and the City 2," "The Hangover Part II," "The Hangover Part III," and "Gone Girl." Plus, "Fifty Shades of Grey" star Jamie Dornan was voted the male breakout star of 2015. "Fifty Shades of Grey" is set to hit theaters on February 13th. »

Popular booking site Fandango has revealed that the upcoming erotic film Fifty Shades of Grey is their fastest selling R-rated film in history. The film, which is an adaptation of the first book in a bestseller trilogy, will open in time for Valentine’s Day. The film is also having the biggest week of ticket sales for a non-sequel film since the first Hunger Games, which still holds the record.
The film now has outpaced other R-rated films of previous years. Here’s the list:
About this milestone, Fandango Chief Correspondent Dave Karger said: “Very few books can claim true national phenomenon status – and ‘Fifty Shades’ ranks with ‘Twilight,’ “The Hunger Games’ and ‘Gone Girl” as novels that entered the zeitgeist from coast to coast. Fans of the book have been »

“Fifty Shades of Grey” is quickly becoming the film on everyone’s lips, and the controversial film continues its news destruction with the latest headline it’s acquired. The film has become the quickest selling R-rated film in the history of movie ticket website Fandango. The Hollywood Reporter states that advance tickets of the Dakota Johnson-Jamie Dornan starrer has already sold more advance tickets (which went on sale last Sunday) than other big name films like “Gone Girl,” “Sex and the City 2″ an “The Hangover Part II.” Of course, we can assume the big rush to get the tickets is not only because of the fans. It’s also because people want [ Read More ]

Fifty Shades of Grey doesn't open until February 13, but fans are already scooping up their tickets on Fandango to the hotly-anticipated adaptation of the popular best-seller. The film is currently the fastest-selling R-rated title in Fandango's 15-year history, already outpacing several major hits.
Fandango's top-5 R-rated advance ticketers, in first week of sales (as of Friday, January 16, 2015):
Fifty Shades of Grey is also having the biggest first week of ticket sales on Fandango for a non-sequel film, since the first Hunger Games movie in 2012, which still holds the record. Theater owners are posting new show times each day on Fandango to meet the hot fan demand in all the fifty states. Here's what Fandango Chief Correspondent Dave Karger had to say in a statement about Fifty Shades of Grey.
It's not even February yet and Fifty Shades of Grey is already gearing up to be a box-office success. The highly anticipated flick, which will be released in theaters on Feb. 13 (just in time for Valentine's Day!), has apparently struck gold at Fandango. According to the ticket-selling site, Fifty Shades of Grey has just become the fastest-selling R-rated movie in their history. The film adaptation of E.L. James' erotic novel has just beat Sex and the City 2 for the top spot in online ticket sales, Variety reports. And considering that Fandago claims its site represents 80% of theaters with online ticket capabilities in America, it's crystal clear what audiences want to »
By now, everyone in the cinematic community is fully aware that Fifty Shades Of Grey is going to be a huge hit when it hits cinemas next month. But we now actually have the proof that it might be an even bigger success than anyone even realized. That.s because it is now the fast-selling R-rated movie in Fandango.s 15-year history. The most impressive element of this statistic is that we are still just under a month away from Fifty Shades Of Grey being released into cinemas. That means that the erotic drama.s popularity is only going to increase. Fandango confirmed on Friday that Fifty Shades Of Grey.s tickets are selling like the proverbial hot cakes. In the process it has now sold more advance tickets than Sex and the City 2, The Hangover Part II, The Hangover Part III and Gone Girl, which are now the second, »
It’s funny how what’s sure to be one of 2015’s highest-grossing movies would have been considered a suicidal project for any major studio just a few years ago. Advance tickets for Fifty Shades of Grey, adapted from the bestselling erotic novel, just went on sale last Sunday, but if you have any doubts about this movie being absolutely massive, consider this – it’s already the fastest selling R-rated movie in Fandango history.
The online ticketer reports that the Bdsm romance has eclipsed previous record-holder Sex and the City 2 while also outpacing The Hangover Part II, The Hangover Part III and Gone Girl. In addition, it’s the fastest selling non-sequel film since The Hunger Games back in 2012. Basically, Fifty Shades is going to dominate (sorry) at the box office.
Universal must be relieved to hear that. Though it’s based on a runaway bestseller, the film also »

Moviegoers are already hot for “Fifty Shades of Grey.”
Universal Pictures’ bondage-flavored Valentine’s Day gift to cinemas doesn’t open for nearly a month, but is already the fastest selling R-rated title in Fandango history.
The online ticketer reports that the adaptation of E.L. James’ steamy best-seller has supplanted “Sex and the City 2″ for the honor. It’s also outpacing other R-rated hits such as the second and third “Hangover” films and “Gone Girl.”
“Fifty Shades” is having the biggest first week of ticket sales on Fandango for a non-sequel film since the first “Hunger Games” movie debuted in 2012. The demand is causing theater owners in all fifty states to offer new showtimes.
Although based on a literary phenomenon, “Fifty Shades of Grey” represents something of a risk for Universal. Sexually charged films haven’t been in vogue since “Basic Instinct” and “Fatal Attraction” pushed boundaries in the late 1980s and early 1990s. »

The sexy romance “Fifty Shades of Grey” doesn’t open until Valentine’s Day weekend, but it already has movie fans hot and bothered. The much-anticipated adaptation of E.L. James’ steamy bestseller is the fastest-selling R-rated movie in the 15-year history of Fandango, the online ticket broker reported Friday.
In its first week of availability, Universal Pictures’ erotic love story starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan has outstripped sales for R-rated blockbusters “Sex and the City 2,” both of “The Hangover” sequels and “Gone Girl.”
