Storyline

Sonia Deol read the latest news headlines and Matt Taylor forecast the Weather. Daily Mail Columnist, Amanda Platell, and TV Presenter June Sarpong reviewed the Sunday news papers with Andrew Marr. Sir Jock Stirrup, Chief of the Defence Staff, spoke to Andrew about the current commitments of the British Army, in Iraq and Afghanistan, and why it can't continue at this level indefinitely. Gene Robinson, Bishop of New Hampshire, and actor Sir Ian McKellen, discussed with Andrew the Anglican church's current problem concerning the ordination of homosexuals. Former Prime Minister, Sir John Major, who led the country during the last recession in the 1990's discussed with Andrew his experience as leader and contrasted these with the problems being faced by the current Prime Minister.
