This movie is every bit as corny as I expected from a sports movie starring Ishihara Satomi. Way too many unlikely scenarios, over-dramatization, over-glorification, and bad acting all around.
Ishihara Satomi was very cute, but once again delivered a totally unconvincing acting, even with basketball moves. She said in an interview she used to play in school's basketball team, so she was really interested in this role, but even in the end, it didn't look like she was a decent player on the court.
One big surprise in this movie was Maki Youko. I've never seen such level of acting in a cheesy sports comedy before. She was really beautiful in a cool way, and was really into the role. I've only seen her in drama "SP" before in a limited role, so this was a pleasant surprise. Hope to see more of her in serious films. Takada Junji was also less annoying than expected.
Product placement in this movie was also excessive in my opinion, but I guess this movie was made for JAL and NTT Docomo.
