I Wouldn't Take Your Hand If I Was Drowning

It is the final episode and Frank Ross is out to get McGrath who tried to kill him.

Frank is also out to get enough evidence on DI Bryce. He cut corners and did some dodgy deals with a bent copper to get Frank banged up in the first place.

There is brawn and cunning in the finale. Frank delivers the hitman to the police who squeals on McGrath.

Frank then goes after a desperate McGrath who is now on the run from the police.

Frank later uses bent copper Hallam to go for the prize catch, Bryce and he uses Hallma as bait.

A thrilling climax, finally all the pieces fall together for Frank. The one disappointment was that his wife and son were non existent in this episode. I felt there were still issues unresolved for Frank regarding his domestic life.

This was so well acted and over 40 years later is stands up as a drama.

Sadly many of the main players are now dead. It is Brian Cox who played McGrath who is the most successful actor from Out. Keep an eye out for Edward Peel and David Ellison as policemen. They would later re-team on Juliet Bravo.
