Danish Dance
Reel af 'Livjægerne paa Amager' (1906)
Danish film has three dancers from the Danish Royal Ballet doing what they do best: dancing. There's really nothing too off the wall here as we're treated to a dance running just under two-minutes. Hans Beck, Valborg Borchsenius and Ellen Price are the names of the dancers according to the Europa Film Treasures website. The same set that director Elfelt filmed on certainly hampers the dancers as they can't move as much as I'm sure they'd want to but apparently the director preferred this so that he could control the lighting. There's certainly nothing too special about the dance but I'm sure those interested in Ballet from this era would love seeing these people doing their thing.
