In the opening sequence after the two corporals are attacked, the sergeant catches a collapsing Corporal Taylor and there is blood on the wall. When the camera pans out to the sergeant checking on the second corporal, the blood on the wall is gone.
When Jackson and Ziva first meet, Jack drops a $20 bill on the ground. The first shot shows the bill crumpled up and face down, while the second shot shows it smoothed out and face up.
When Winslow and the sheriff at Jackson Gibbs's store, the next scene has agents David and McGee searching through garbage at the Winslow house. When agent David approached the girl on the front porch to speak with her you can look over the girls right shoulder and see the black Cadillac of Mr. Winslow sitting in wait in the driveway. But in the next scene he is supposed to be just driving up. When clearly the car was in the driveway waiting on his cue to pull up and interact with agent David.
The fictional class rings for the fictional high school show the name "Still Water" as two words with a space, whereas the name of the town, both the one in the show and the real one in Pennsylvania, is "Stillwater" as one word without a space.
On the DVD, the closed caption says that Ducky, who has come from the opera, hums "The Magic Flute." In fact, he is humming "Non piu andrai" from "The Marriage of Figaro."
The team learns that the targeted Marine is from Stillwater, Pennsylvania because of the high school class ring he is wearing. Stillwater, PA doesn't have its own high school. The small community is a part of the nearby Bloomsburg School District.
(at around 20 mins) Actor Richard Lineback transposes his line, saying, "It just shows to go," instead of, "It just goes to show."
When Leroy Jethro Gibbs and his Dad walk into "Chuck's" house the first time, there is location tape (gaffer's tape) on the floor. It is most visible as the camera focuses on Chuck stepping toward the camera and follows the Gibbs (father and son) stepping toward him.
