Prentiss learns from an old friend, John Cooley, that their mutual friend, Matthew Benton, just died from a heart attack. Prentiss had not seen either man in several years, both for different reasons. John also mentions that Matthew thought he was going to be killed just like "T. Valentine". In searching, Garcia does find someone matching that name in the area who recently died from dehydration. There are similarities between the two deaths but no medical rationale for tying the two together as murders. A third person in the area then dies in a similar way but again no medical indication of an unnatural death or rationale tying the death to the first two. However, Prentiss and Rossi, in particular within the team, are certain the three deaths are related and that they are indeed murders. They have to tread lightly and carefully since the families of the deceased refuse to speak to the FBI - especially Matthew's family who know, and do not like, Prentiss - and since there is no ... Did You Know?

The background information on Father Paul Silvano states that he gave a mass at the National Cathedral. Since Father Silvano is Catholic, he most likely would have given a mass at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, not the National Cathedral which is Episcopal. See more »

Not one of the best, but better then what it gets credit for... IMO

****SPOILER**** The main differences i guess is that we don't know for sure what happens in this ep. I suppose that if you'd like you could see it all as some religious, Unsanctioned exorcism gone terribly wrong... I did not really see it that way, sure the guy uses religion and I'm sure he thinks he is doing something good, but he is not doing a sanctioned exorcism. My Main reason for my opinion is ***Spoiler** Emily's nosebleed at the end. The only thing that makes sens is that she was right, there was something in the water. She brings it up more then once, and when she get it "sprinkled" on her as she interrupts the exorcism she cry out in revulsion/surprise or something, "what is in that water?". To me that indicates that its not just water, so when her nosebleed starts i think there was something in that water that didn't go well with the kind of stress those guys were in...So ever if its hard to say for sure that he was setting out to murder dose men it's man-slather at the very least... i personally i believe that it was his aim to kill them, but that he felt that he left a way for for God to save them if he liked to...kind of like the old witch trials...
