There's nothing new about 'torture porn' or 'gorno'. Splatter films have been around for decades and before that staged scenes of carnage were performed in the theatre of the Grand Guignol. As a marketing device torture porn has lent itself to Hostel and the Saw franchise with much success since being coined and relentlessly copies from a film review of the Eli Roth film; Hostel. Hostel III finds unlucky visitors to Las Vegas being kidnapped for the gambling and sadistic pleasure of a mysterious cartel. In their state of the art facility their captives are tortured and killed while their clients sit in luxury, sipping drinks and placing bets on laptops as to the specific outcome of the tortures inflicted. People really do have better things to do with their time and money. The people who produced this unlikely bit of gorno do not, sadly. Rather flat and uninvolving despite the occasional gore.
