Trivia

Lars Ulrich in an interview with Game Informer noted that the band stood up for the inclusion of the band Slayer against Microsoft's concerns on the explicit lyrical content of the group's songs. Alan Flores, lead designer for the game, noted that they had originally cleared Slayer's "Angel of Death" but had to pull it due at a late date to pressure on the song's background, instead, at the urging of Ulrich, successfully cleared "War Ensemble" and rushed to include it in the game. The closest thing to experience Metallica's Heaven.

When I first heard about this game, as a die hard Metallica fan, I knew I had to get it at all costs. So I decided to spend a big part of my two-weeks salary and buy the game and the whole Guitar Hero World Tour band.

The gaming experience is a blast. The musical experience is amazing. The sole purpose of the game is to pay tribute to Metallica and re-create a concert by them. I mean, you get to be James, Lars, Kirk, or Robert during a concert but I have to admit that playing in the "challenge" mode is more entertaining.

The first time you play "Master Of Puppets", "One", "Mercyful Fate", etc. you just can't help but feel shivers.

It's an amazing experience overall and should be played loud. Be sure to get a powerful sound system.

As a die hard fan of Metallica, I completely recommend this game and it must be an obligation for fans of the band.
