Parents Guide for
Immortals (2011) More at IMDbPro »

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Several non-explicit references to a woman's virginity.

A man looks at four women and quips, "I wouldn't mind knowing them all for a night".

Men are seen bare-chested in non-sexual situations during the whole movie.

Naked male statues get a little screen time, as do the bare breasts of a woman pretending to be a statue (no graphic details).

A man and a woman kiss. The woman removes her red blouse and her bare buttocks is seen in close-up. She lies down in bed with the man, and the right side of her breast is seen along with her butt. They kiss again as he starts thrusting on top of her (this is seen briefly and at a distance).

Violence & Gore

Many battles, most of them are fairly intense and bloody.

A few torture scenes, usually implied and offscreen.

Three women are seen with their faces swollen and bloody (they have been beaten).

A character has oil poured on him and burned (mostly seen from a distance).

A man cuts his own tongue off (we see the character grabbing his tongue but the actual slicing is offscreen, some blood is seen dripping from his mouth).

A male character is castrated by a huge hammer (we see his legs being forcibly spread and the hammer just about to hit him in the crotch, the screen blacks out with painful screams and crunching noises).

A man's face is scratched (onscreen, the bloody cuts are seen, as well as the scars later on).

A character's throat is cut with bloody details.

Sight of burnt women dying (you see the women's flesh burned to a crisp and hear them gasping for air).

A bunch of character's heads and bodies are violently hit and explode with gory results.

A scene involving eye gouging (we see a man forcing his fingers into another man's eye sockets, no blood is visible, crunching noises are heard as the man screams).

A few characters are beheaded (some seen from a distance, but once you see the actually decapitation).

A bunch of characters' bodies are decapitated by use of a hammer, chain, and other weapons, many resulting with strong gory results.

Characters are killed with large splashes of CGI blood.

A Titan is cut in half with a chain, and his insides can be clearly seen.

A character is seen (although not clearly) being stabbed, smashed, and torn apart by Titans.

Overall the violence is rather strong with some particularly gruesome scenes.

Profanity

A couple of uses of the word "whore". Two uses of "bastard" . Two uses of "hell".

Almost none.

Liquor is quickly quaffed.

The entire film is quite violent and has some gory moments.

The battles can be intense and very bloody.

A few scenes involve characters being tortured (although offscreen).

Rated R for sequences of strong bloody violence, and a scene of sexuality. Recomended age: 14+
