20 years ago Ninja Gaiden was unleashed on the world in the form of an arcade machine. Due to its popularity it was ported to the Nintendo and two sequels followed over the next 3 years.
Finally in 2004, Tecmo released a prequel to the original trilogy simply entitled Ninja Gaiden. This game revolutionized gaming graphics for the Xbox and brought the challenge of classic video games into the current generation.
Now the sequel, Ninja Gaiden 2, has been released and it everything you would expect from a sequel with such high quality as was offered in 2004's relaunch.
The graphics are amazing, the cutscenes are the best available right now, the game play is FANTASTIC at the least, and the classic button mashing we all grew up and loved is there.
The story aspect of the game is the weak link of the game, but it doesn't matter much really. You are so enthralled and involved in the gameplay, that you don't really pay attention much to the story.
I recommend this game to any Xbox 360 fan who wants to experience the arcade feeling of old that was the blood of games back in the day. From the beginning of the 20+ hour adventure, you are on the edge of your seat with non stop action.
The game is difficult but it is suppose to be. The achievements have been wisely designed to be able to achieve only through multiple playings. Well worth the $60 price tag, and replay value is very high.
Now, hopefully Tecmo can clean up their mess with the creator of N.G. and their employees, and begin creating Ninja Gaiden 3.
