Capaldiwatching the Camden Town Murder

This has to be one of the stupidest, most non-entertaining, non-mysterious mystery scenarios I've ever encountered. It seems blatantly obvious from the beginning that the suspect is a psychopathic killer, but his lawyer uses all his skills to mount a brilliant and triumphant defense. Then immediately after he wins the case he realizes there's a bit of forensic evidence he totally forgot about that proves what we knew all along--that the client he just got out of jail is a raging homicidal sadist who really DID half-chop a prostitute's head off! Too late--the last thing we see is the psycho sizing up his next victim! I don't think Peter Capaldi is ideally cast in sinister roles--he never seems to be able to dredge up enough of a semblance of evil to pull it off--but he's great casting here in the respect that he's playing an artist who's shown sketching people throughout the story, and I think the drawings we see are really Capaldi's (he studied at the Glasgow School of Art.)
