As far back as 1939 their were futurist who had a vision of automated travel, well a group of engineers have finally broken through and created Smart Roads (automated highways) which will revolutionize driving.

Storyline

UC Berkeley is the headquarters of Partners for Advanced Transit and Highways (PATH) they have been developing Automated Travel with Caltrans and a group of California Universities (USC, UCLA, UC IRVINE AND UC RIVERSIDE) since 1989. Path's goal, "using the existing highway system they want to put more cars on the road more safely and let the cars do the driving for you." The Smart Roads system could be up and running in five years time, starting with buses and snow plows. Written by Mel Metcalfe III
